Sophie Leyendecker (*1997 in Cologne, DE) is a Documentary Photographer based between dem Rheinland and het Rijnland.

Once removed from its context, what has been framed begins to speak. Reocurring motifs such as thoroughfares and bodies of water evoke notions of borderlessness and translocality. Assembled, the work revolves around globalization and its heritage in our shared histories.

Photographic series find their sequences within books and installations – in context with text, archive material, ancient artefacts and objet trouvé.
